The dreamer

q: “where is the dreamer in the dream?” investigating three(?) possibilities, see: (where? try searching for /(?i)dreamer of reality/ in diary.)

There are things outside: when I am sleeping, and outside my window there is a tree, then the tree is outside my dream. And in the same way, not all reality is in here. Outside, there are living things and non-living things, and this place—the “here”—when viewed from out there looks like a whole unit, a single thing. (And perhaps this is part of why Plotinus uses the term “the One” to describe the dream.)
