Unreality

They call this place “reality”. But I can sense that there’s something off about it. It has an indefinite quality, perhaps that of being fake. Many people seem not to notice it, but for me it’s a serious problem. It’s difficult to describe precisely what’s wrong. I’m working on investigating it; that’s what this work is about. I want to learn about the true nature of reality that’s hiding underneath this illusion.

The sense of unreality may be caused by “anti-paranoia”—that is, the tacit belief that nothing has anything to do with anything else, that everything is just a fragment by itself. And the unpleasant feeling of “unreality” is a trustworthy, and intuitive reaction against having been forced to inhabit such a desolate non-world.
